Jim founded Seven Citadels Consulting after identifying a need in small-cap and mid-cap businesses for a trusted security advisor, someone to provide informed and objective counsel on operational risks in their companies. Jim plays a key role as consultant and trusted security advisor for Seven Citadels’ clients. He helps to identify challenges within their organizations by identifying threats, uncovering vulnerabilities, and mitigating risk in a strategic and sustainable manner.

Jim has forty years of operational experience and was a career officer and special agent with the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI). He commanded a large investigative unit; was chief of counterintelligence for a regional headquarters; was an operational counterintelligence officer; and an operational plans officer at Headquarters AFOSI. Following a career of service to his country, Jim was a Fortune 500 Chief Security Officer with Avery Dennison, ConAgra Foods, and Inacom.

Board certified in security management as a Certified Protection Professional and a Certified Threat Manager ™, Jim is a member of the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals, the International Association of Professional Security Consultants, and ASIS International. Among his other education and training accomplishments, Jim was a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Officer Leadership and Management School; Counterespionage Case Officer course; Protective Services/Anti-Terrorism course; Advanced Criminal Investigators course; and AFOSI Commanders workshop.

Jim is a member of the Board of Directors of At Ease USA; a trustee and volunteer with the Business Ethics Alliance; a member of the Better Business Bureau – Fraud Taskforce; and previously chaired a school safety work group with the Metropolitan Omaha Educational Consortium (MOEC). In addition to numerous military awards and decorations, Jim is a recipient of the Award for Public Service by the U.S. Department of Justice and in 2004 was awarded a life saving citation by the Omaha Fire Department. Jim is a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
